It S Time To Call A Spade A Spade

by David Walker, It S Time To Call A Spade A Spade Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download It S Time To Call A Spade A Spade books, A major culture war is raging in America. The battleground includes issues such as abortion, homosexuality, and evolution. The debate continues over whether America was established as a Christian nation and what this thing called "separation of church and state" really means. Some even debate the truth and trustworthiness of the greatest book ever written, the Bible. Most Christians instinctively know what is right but are ill equipped to stand for it, because they do not have the facts. This book will give you the facts that support the truth and thus equip you with the tools you need to stand for what's right. It is time to cut through the prevailing barrage of misinformation and stand for truth based upon the facts. It is time to look clearly at the issues that threaten the fabric of American society and to rise up and call a spade a spade. David Walker is a teacher who became a pastor. He pastored the same church for twenty-eight years, during which time the church grew from 55 to over 500 members. He also started a Christian school that grew to over 500 students. He has a bachelor's degree and a master's degree and has completed all the work for his doctorate except for the dissertation. For twelve years, David taught American history, world history, government, and economics in high schools in Indiana, Ohio, and Florida. His doctoral work consisted of a major in American history with cognates in political science and educational psychology. David has traveled extensively preaching crusades and training pastors on four continents. He has conducted crusades and pastor-training seminars in a number of places in India and Nigeria. He has ministered in crusades and churches in Brazil and Benin and written training materials for house church leaders in China.

Our Christian Founding Fathers

by William Beckman, Our Christian Founding Fathers Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Our Christian Founding Fathers books, The American public has been told what recent historians wanted them to believe: the United States is not a Christian nation. This is true in only one respect. You don’t have to be a Christian following a specific denomination to be an American citizen. However, the ideological foundation this country is based on Christian principles, developed by Christian Founding Fathers. Modern historians have distorted these facts. To correct these distortions, the biographies of the Founding Fathers, their actual statements and Christian beliefs, are presented in this work. The catalyst for the birth of our nation was the moment when Benjamin Franklin, incorrectly considered a Deist by many, suggested that the quarrelsome Continental Convention recognize how the Creator had listened to and answered their prayers in the past. He suggested daily prayer be instituted, asking “... henceforth, prayers imploring the assistance of heaven, and its blessings on our deliberations, be held in this assembly every morning ...” The quarreling continued, but the emphasis became how to successfully unite the newly independent colonies. The colonies united under Christian principles; however, over the years those principles and their original intent have been diluted. Recognizing the condition of the world today, isn’t it a good time to renew those principles?

Constitution Is Born A

by Swanson, Norma, Constitution Is Born A Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Constitution Is Born A books, Now, as never before, basic knowledge of our governmental heritage is essential if we want to be empowered to keep elected officials accountable and defeat the forces that would destroy our freedoms. The truths of the Constitution must be embedded in our hearts—(not blocked out by social media or minds captured by electronic devices) as it is the only way to a guarantee of freedom. Since the celebration of the 200th anniversary of our Constitution, all three departments of government have, to a large degree, ignored the Constitution. Neglect of the principles contained in our Constitution has been responsible for the loss of many of the freedoms it guaranteed. A Constitution is Born was written to be a clarion call, loud and clear, for renewed patriotism, a love for country and above all a realization that our direction comes from God, not from man, and we are responsible to Him, our Maker. This brief history of the U.S. Constitution with relevant information is to be a sword of the Lord, piercing the heart and soul, invoking action to carry out His plan as He makes it known to us. Our continuing prayer is that this book will find a special place in the hearts of Americans and that they will read it to their children to provide insight and understanding as to what it means to be a free, courageous American with increased faith in our God who has brought us this far. "The importance of educating our youth about the principles set forth in our Constitution has always been high on my list of priorities. I am pleased and excited to recommend the work of Barbara Aud and Norma Swanson through A Constitution is Born. The book provides a brief history of the Constitution and what it means in layman's terms"—Ronald M. Mann, Former Director and Deputy Director of the Commission of the Bi-Centennial of the Constitution, Special Advisor to President Ronald Reagan "Norma Swanson and Barbara Aud’s new book, A Constitution is Born is a must-read for every American citizen. In this fascinating book, they trace the invisable hand of God in formulating the foundational guiding document for our nation. This book is essential reading for everyone who wants to know the truth of the founding of our country."—Dr. Robert Jeffress, Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas and Fox News Contributor. "Our children must understand the freedoms that the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution guarantees for all Americans if our republic is to survive. A Constitution is Born is a vital tool available to all parents, teachers, and all who love liberty. Read this book, teach it to your children, share it with your students, tell your neighbors about it. This is something you can do to light freedom’s way for generations to come."—Dr. Robert Sweet, Jr., Professional Staff Member, Committee on Education and the Workforce, United States House of Representatives "As you become aware of today's political and social climate and the attack on our freedoms, you can't help but think A Constitution is Born could not have been published in a timelier manner. Citizens both young and old, now more than ever, need to understand the sacrifice and principles that were so thoughtfully crafted in the Constitution by its designers. Every household, school and church should have this book and integrate the principles and truths into their lives."—Rose Gamblen, Ph.D, Educational Specialist and Published Author, Professor, Penn State, Producer and Co-Host of My Home School Companion, radio network "I APPLAUD Barbara Aud and Norma Swanson for their many hours of research and labor in producing this very timely book, A Constitution is Born. Never before have we needed to provide for our youth a basic understanding of how they received the freedom by which they live, and how the hand of God moved in the forming of the nation as we know it today. As an educator, I highly recommend that every home and parent make this book a 'must' in the education of their children."—Dr. Arthur Nazigian, Board Chairman Emeritus, Association of Christian Schools International, Published Author, Charter member ACSI Board.

America the Beautiful by Ben Carson, M.D - A 15-minute Instaread Summary Inside this Instaread Summary:Overview of the entire bookIntroduction to the important people in the bookSummary and analysis of all the chapters in the bookKey Takeaways of the bookA Reader's Perspective Preview of the earlier chapters: Chapter 1 Carson grew up in Detroit and Boston when the civil rights movement was changing the social landscape. He was aware of racism all around him. Carson belonged to a segment of the population that was often deprived of opportunities. Rather than cause him to stop fighting, racism inspired him to prove his worth by excelling in school. America was built on a legacy of rebellion. Early Americans fought for change at great personal risk. The Founding Fathers understood injustices that existed in the world and strove to design a government that would level the playing field. However, Americans appear to have lost the ability to endure hardship and to sacrifice for future generations. America’s current state, its growing debt, excessive spending, and elected leaders who ignore the will of the people, closely resembles the circumstances preceding the American Revolution. During that time, colonists were forced to rebel against extreme taxation and threats to the freedoms they enjoyed in the New World. However, modern Americans seem to have forgotten what their Founding Fathers sacrificed for the privileges they continue to enjoy...

The Shape Of Things To Come

by Greil Marcus, The Shape Of Things To Come Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download The Shape Of Things To Come books, From the author of Mystery Train and Lipstick Traces, an exhilarating and provocative investigation of the tangle of American identity "America is a place and a story, made up of exuberance and suspicion, crime and liberation, lynch mobs and escapes; its greatest testaments are made of portents and warnings, biblical allusions that lose all certainty in the American air." It is this story of self-invention and nationhood that Greil Marcus rediscovers, beginning with John Winthrop's invocation of America as a "city on the hill," Lincoln's second inaugural address, and Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech about his American dream. Listening to these prophetic founding statements, Marcus explores America's promise as a New Jerusalem and the nature of its covenant: first with God, and then with its own citizens. In the nineteenth century, this vision of the nation's story was told in public as part of common discourse, to be fought over in plain speech and flights of gorgeous rhetoric. Since then, Marcus argues, it has become cryptic, a story told more in art than in politics. He traces it across the continent and through time, hearing the tale in the disparate voices of writers, filmmakers, performers, and actors: Philip Roth, David Lynch, David Thomas, Allen Ginsberg, Sheryl Lee, and Bill Pullman. In The Shape of Things to Come, the future and the past merge in extraordinary and uncanny ways, and Marcus proves once again that he is our most imaginative and original cultural critic.
