Download Endoscopic Endonasal Skull Base Surgery books, Because the base of the skull has proven to be one of the most challenging regions of the body to access, treatment options were once limited for patients with tumors or lesions in this area.? However, with recent advancements and breakthroughs in treatment, patients with skull base tumors now have an array of surgical options that can help them return to leading a normal and active life. The Endoscopic Endonasal Approach (EEA) is an innovative surgical technique used to remove brain tumors and lesions-some as large as softballs-all through the nose.

Endoscopic Approaches To The Skull Base

by Amin B. Kassam, Endoscopic Approaches To The Skull Base Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Endoscopic Approaches To The Skull Base books, Reviews the role of endoscopic endonasal techniques During the last decade the endoscopic endonasal approach (EEA) to the skull base has become a very powerful method to add to the array of neurosurgical technologies. This volume provides a broad overview of the role of transnasal approaches in a wide spectrum of skull base diseases. It starts with a historical perspective of the evolution from the microscope to the endoscope in endonasal surgery and then explores in depth the principles and techniques of the various methods. Discussed are topics based on anatomical boundaries: pituitary fossa to the suprasellar space to the cavernous sinus, clivus and the anterior cranial fossa. Access to the infratemporal and posterior fossae via both the endoscopic endonasal and the retrosigmoid approaches are reviewed. In addition, the critical topic of reconstruction following 'minimally invasive' skull base surgery and finally the learning curve and complications associated with the applications of these new and exciting approaches are discussed. This volume will provide the latest knowledge to help neurosurgeons, otolaryngologists, head and neck surgeons as well as craniofacial surgeons understand the applications and practice of this important technique.

Practical Handbook Of Neurosurgery

by Marc Sindou, Practical Handbook Of Neurosurgery Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Practical Handbook Of Neurosurgery books, “Practical Handbook of Neurosurgery” invites readers to take part in a journey through the vast field of neurosurgery, in the company of internationally renowned experts. At a time when the discipline is experiencing a (detrimental) tendency to segment into various subfields and scatter in the process, it can be worthwhile to collect a number of practical lessons gleaned from experienced and leading neurosurgeons. The book also aims to present numerous important figures in the neurosurgical community, with a brief overview of the vitae and main contributions for each. We must confess that we were sad that some of the most active members were unable to participate, likely due to time constraints. We are however fortunate that the majority were able to take part. As such, though not exhaustive, the book does represent an anthology of contemporary neurosurgeons. From the preface: At the very beginning of the project, our intention was to make a “poetbook”. But month after month it became obvious that the work would be much more expansive; ultimately we produced three volumes. Nevertheless we hope that all the three volumes together will remain easily accessible and a daily companion. The pocket has to be more like a travel bag! We would like to thank all of the contributors; they have sacrficed their valuable time to deliver sound and critical views, and above all useful guidelines.
