Impossible Faith

by Jamie James, Impossible Faith Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Impossible Faith books, This is the incredible story of a man of God whose life touched many and whose death inspired even more. Jamie James adored her husband, Shibu Mathai, and so did everyone else who met him. He was a true believer, following the Lord's will without hesitation in every area of his life. Never one to get mad or upset, he was always making people laugh with his jokes and pranks. The messages he shared about the Word of God inspired all who listened. He was the perfect husband, always placing Jamie's needs above his own, just as he did for everyone he encountered. His joy was to serve. On August 13, 2005, he served by saving three children from drowning—but then his own life was taken. His death rocked Jamie's world. How could a man so young and with so much passion for the Lord's work be taken away so soon in life? What about their dreams of taking the gospel into the world and ministering to the poor and lost? What about their future together? What about the one billion souls Shibu wanted to claim for the Lord? Why would God allow such a thing to happen? Through the eyes of Jamie and others who knew Shibu, readers will witness how a life and death can bring together a community and strengthen the faith of many. Discover Impossible Faith.

The Impossible Faith

by James Patrick Holding, The Impossible Faith Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download The Impossible Faith books, A Thesis So Explosive, An Atheist Paid $5,000 for An Answer The Impossible Faith offers the proposition that Christianity could not have succeeded unless it had indisputable proof of the resurrection of Jesus. Had there not been such evidence, Christianity would have been an "impossible faith." Using his seventeen years of experience in apologetics ministry, the author will demonstrate the impossibility of Christianity in the eyes of the people of the first century and present an apologetic for Jesus' resurrection. Christians will be encouraged and emboldened by the message of The Impossible Faith, realizing "how firm a foundation" they have in Christ Jesus. Non-Christians will be challenged to consider the truth of Christianity in a new light. The arguments in this book are so powerful that one atheist paid over $5,000 for a response. It is impossible to estimate the evangelistic impact that is possible because of The Impossible Faith. James Patrick Holding is President of Tekton Apologetics Ministries, one of the leading apologetics ministries on the Internet. Tekton Apologetics Ministries was recommended by apologist and prominent author Lee Strobel on Hank Hanegraaff's The Bible Answerman in December, 2001. Holding has written over 1700 articles for his ministry, as well as articles for the Christian Research Journal and for the publications of Creation Ministries International . He has also published The Mormon Defenders: How Latter-Day Saint Apologists Misinterpret the Bible. He lives in Central Florida with his beloved wife and a very small, very spoiled poodle.

Not The Impossible Faith

by Richard Carrier, Not The Impossible Faith Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Not The Impossible Faith books, Dr. Richard Carrier is an expert in the history of the ancient world and a critic of Christian attempts to distort history in defense of their faith. Not the Impossible Faith is a tour de force in that genre, dissecting and refuting the oft-repeated claim that Christianity could not have succeeded in the ancient world unless it was true. Though framed as a detailed rebuttal to Christian apologist J.P. Holding (author of The Impossible Faith), Carrier takes a general approach that educates the reader on the history and sociology of the ancient world, answering many questions like: How did Christians approach evidence? Was there a widespread prejudice against the testimony of women? Was resurrection such a radical idea? Who would worship a crucified criminal? And much more. Written with occasional humor and an easy style, and thoroughly referenced, with many entertaining "gotcha " moments, Not the Impossible Faith is a must-read for anyone interested in the origins of Christianity.

Morning And Evening Meditations From The Word Of God

by Michael J. Akers, Morning And Evening Meditations From The Word Of God Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Morning And Evening Meditations From The Word Of God books, There are many devotional books available containing brief, daily inspirations that benefit all who read them. This book is different in two respects. The first is obvious: it contains two readings per day—732 in all. The second, more important difference is that the author wanted to do more than offer inspiration; this would make this book no different than so many others. The messages in the book are study sketches in that the content is not only inspirational, but also educational, challenging, and encouraging. Most of these writings were based on author Michael J. Akers’s teaching of adult Bible studies for more than thirty years and learning what really brought adults to want to deepen their knowledge and application of the Word of God.

Cross And Kh Ra

by Marko Zlomislić, Cross And Kh Ra Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Cross And Kh Ra books, This volume poses the question of the relationship between the two main influences on the thought of John D. Caputo, one of the most well-known philosophers of religion working in North America today: Jacques Derrida and Jesus Christ. Given the seemingly abstract character of Derrida's account of the messianic, how can one reconcile deconstruction and the "concrete messianism" of Christianity, as Caputo tries to do over and over again? How can one hold together the love of a God willing to be crucified and the dry, desert khora, which doesn't care? This collection of essays from world-renowned scholars seeks to illuminate the difficulties inherent in this seemingly contradictory pair of influences. With his trademark wit and humor, Caputo responds to his interlocutors while clarifying his position on numerous matters of interest to the church and in the academy. In addition to dealing with the concern for issues of hermeneutics, phenomenology, and negative theology for which Caputo has become famous, these essays also evaluate Caputo's legacy in fields previously not thought to be affected by his "deconstructive" version of religion: feminism, sacramental theology, Analytic philosophy of religion, and Christology.

Knowledge And Faith

by Jan Salamucha, Knowledge And Faith Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Knowledge And Faith books, Jan Salamucha was born on the 10th of June 1903 in Warsaw and murdered on the 11th of August 1944 in Warsaw during the Warsaw Uprising very early on in his scholarly career. He is the most original representative of the branch of the Lvov-Warsaw School known as the Cracow Circle. The Circle was a grouping of scholars who were interested in reconstructing scholasticism and Christian philosophy in general by means of mathematical logic. As Jan Lukasiewicz's successor in the area of logic and Konstanty Michalski's student in the area of the history of medieval thought, Salamucha had an excellent preparation for this task. His main achievements include a masterful logical analysis of the proof ex motu for the existence of God, a modern interpretation of analogical notions and a comprehensive approach to the problem of essence. He also contributed several historical studies: he examined Aristotle's theory of deduction (and found contradictions in it), he reconstructed William Ockham's propositional logic and established the authenticity of his treatise on insolubilia, and he identified the historical sources of the antinomies in Antiquity and the Middle Ages. He did not shy away from popularizing philosophy, and in that work he was able to elucidate rather than oversimplify the complexities of philosophy.
