In that case, you are going to love this book. These gardens can be best described as free-standing garden beds constructed slightly over the natural terrain. But why raised bed gardens? The reasons are pretty simple and straightforward: When it comes to growing fresh, nutritious vegetables in your raised bed garden, it doesn't really matter whether or not you own a fertile piece of land. It's nothing like the traditional forms of gardening. To grow a raised bed garden, you don't have to be an experienced gardener either - it is a lot easier to learn and execute compared to traditional forms of gardening. This book covers the following topics: What is raised bed gardening? How to build your raised bed garden Benefits of this type of gardening Make your own compost Best soil mixed for a raised bed Crop rotation and planting techniques How to protect from cold and super-hot days How to make beautiful your own garden ...And much more Many first-time raised bed gardeners make the serious mistake of creating a garden that is too large to look after - and this is precisely why you should always kick start the project with a lot of strategic planning. Choosing an adequate size and layout of a raised bed garden is perhaps the most essential factor associated with the task. The bottom line here is that just like any other form of gardening, knowledge, and planning (or the lack of it) plays a pivotal role in determining the success or failure of a raised bed garden. As a beginner, the thought of trying raised-bed gardening may be daunting and it may seem like a challenge, but with this book you will get a good idea of how to go about it. No worries, this book will cover everything you need to know so you can quickly get started. Some gardeners raise the soil a few feet above the surrounding soil and enclose it with wood or rocks. This way the soil that has been raised is made to stay in place and it does not fall apart. If and when there is any need to add some more compost to the soil in these particular beds, you can do so. Enriching the soil this way would help you provide the plants with the nutrients that they need in certain amounts. For example, some plants need more copper than others. And by growing these in raised beds the right nutrients are provided in the right amounts, so you can ensure that these plants are grown in beds that are have optimal conditions for healthy plants. Raised-bed gardening essentially means to separate the soil (by raising it) from the other soils, so that you can use the raised soil to your advantage. Various people use this form of gardening for various purposes. The elderly uses this form of gardening so that they do not have to bend over to take care of the soil or the plant. Other gardeners use this particular method to better control and maintain the quality of the soil. Ready to get started? Click "Buy Now"!

Raised Bed Gardening For Beginners

by Sarah Day, Raised Bed Gardening For Beginners Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Raised Bed Gardening For Beginners books, Do you have a small space for gardening, and you would like to produce your fresh vegetables and herbs? Would you like to learn how to build your own raised garden? Then keep reading... Why Use Raised Beds in Your Garden? Raised beds are one of my favorite ways to garden for a wide variety of reasons, which you will learn as you read this book. For many people, raised beds to make their gardening more organized, neater, and easier to manage. If you have any mobility issues, it can reduce the impact on your back and the need to bend, meaning you can continue to enjoy gardening even if you cannot dig for hours and kneel on the floor tending your plants. Set up raised beds properly requires absolutely no digging, which makes them ideal for efficient gardener after minimal maintenance work. They are also suitable for anyone with any disability, which makes digging difficult or painful. Anyone who works and tries to keep on top of their garden will be happy for anything that reduces the amount of work they need to do. I found that when I was working and looking after young children, the raised beds made the difference between having a vegetable plot and not being able to manage one. In traditional soil planting your plants lean over on to the paths, which quickly become covered. You then end up having to pick your way carefully between your plants and will usually end up standing on your plants. If you have children visit your vegetable garden, then you will know just how hard it is to get them to stick to unclear paths. I have lost many a row of seedlings to enthusiastic children wanting to help but not realizing where the paths are. In a raised bed garden, the paths are clearly defined, so there is no accidental squashing of seedlings! It also means that if the weather is bad, you do not need to walk on muddy paths as you can easily create paved or barked paths between your beds. Raised beds can be made out of pretty much anything you want, most of mine are made out of wood, but I am building one out of an old bath and have several made out of reclaimed bricks! You will learn everything you need to know about raised bed gardening, from locating your beds and planning through to building, planting, and maintenance so you can successfully build your own raised beds and enjoy an abundant supply of vegetables from them. This book provides a complete guide to the following: Why people should choose raised bed gardening Building your raised bed garden Planning your gardening What to grow and what not to grow in your raised beds Planting and maintaining crops in raised bed gardens High-yielding garden: the secrets Crop rotation and planting techniques Irrigation Putting your garden together Pest control Raised beds tips and tricks Tips for growing healthy plants...AND MORE!!!
