Total Consecration Through The Mysteries

by Fr. Ed Broom OMV, Total Consecration Through The Mysteries Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Total Consecration Through The Mysteries books, In his 18th century masterpiece, True Devotion to Mary, St. Louis de Montfort tells us that the quickest, easiest, and most efficacious path to Jesus is through the Blessed Virgin Mary. In her 1917 appearances at Fatima, Mary repeatedly urged us to pray the Rosary daily. Since Mary is the best path to Jesus and since she herself insists on daily recitation of the Rosary, Fr. Ed Broom has developed this powerful do-it-yourself retreat that culminates in the total consecration to Jesus through Mary by focusing on the Mysteries of the Rosary and the Seven Sorrows of Mary – and all it takes is a few moments each day! For years Fr. Ed Broom has transformed lives by leading this five-week retreat in Southern California. Now, for the very first time, that retreat is available in book form for those who cannot attend one of Father’s retreats in person. Here you’ll find the entire retreat program to bring you closer to Our Lady and to Our Lord: Scripture readings keyed to each Rosary decade, Fr. Broom’s succinct meditations on each Mystery, daily prayers, and wise but practical steps to help you gain the most from each meditation as you draw daily closer to your retreat’s culmination in the fifth week: your own Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary. Why not spend the next five weeks with Fr. Broom meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary and the words of Scripture? Do so, and you’ll quickly come to appreciate as never before the beautiful prayer that is the Rosary as well as Jesus and Mary, whom you will soon know better and love more.

The Contemplative Rosary

by Dan Burke, The Contemplative Rosary Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download The Contemplative Rosary books, You know that in an Apostolic Letter in 2002, Pope John Paul II added five Luminous Mysteries. Did you know that in that same Letter he also called for a new way of praying the Rosary? St. John Paul II’s new way of praying the Rosary was based on the teachings of St. Theresa of Avila and has become known as the Contemplative Rosary because it more perfectly unites vocal prayer and meditation, transforming the prayers of the Rosary into a contemplative meeting with God. Did you know about these changes? Have you tried them? In our new book, The Contemplative Rosary, we have not only incorporated the five new Luminous Mysteries, we have included as well the many other changes Pope John Paul made to the Rosary. Here are his additions to the texts and prayers — additions small and large — that, as John Paul intended, unite the Rosary more closely to the official liturgical prayers of the Church as well as to Scripture. Here are also scores of full-color images for your contemplation that anchor your attention in each Mystery and transform your Rosary from a hasty, habitual recitation into a profound speaking to God and a keen listening to Him. Following the wise advice of St. Theresa of Avila and the new method proposed by St. John Paul, you’ll find here for each mystery: -A lovely, full-color classical painting depicting the events in the Mystery, for help in your contemplation. -A unique announcement of the Mystery. -A statement of the expected fruits of the Mystery. -The Scriptural passage you should consider before embarking on your prayers of the Mystery. -A call for a moment of silence in order to recollect yourself before entering the presence of God. -Each Mystery’s own unique Hail Mary, including within each a John Paul II recommended statement of faith “to pull wandering minds back to Christ and center them in the mystery.” -Seven meditations tailored to each Mystery, to accompany your recitation of the Hail Marys (but only employ one at a time). -A concluding short prayer asking God for the fruits specific to that Mystery. -Plus much more, so that finally you can begin to pray the Rosary as Saint John Paul wants you to pray it!

Religious Poverty

by Yuji Sugawara, Religious Poverty Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Religious Poverty books, Both the conciliar and post-conciliar teachings, including the Code of Canon Law, have recognized the important role of religious poverty and give concrete orientations for the complex problems of present-day poverty. The intent of this work is to demonstrate that religious poverty aims not at a minimum, such as the renunciation of property and dependence upon superiors, but rather at the magis, a more profound way of living and at an apostolate of this evangelical counsel which has as its purpose the realization of the kingdom of God through one's total poverty.

This is the original ‘scrupulously faithful’ translation by Reverend Frederick William Faber, D.D.. The great Marian Pope, Blessed Pope John Paul II practiced this Devotion to Mary, in his Letter to the Montfort Fathers he says: “A work destined to become a classic of Marian spirituality was published 160 years ago. St. Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort wrote the Treatise on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin at the beginning of the 1700s, but the manuscript remained practically unknown for more than a century. When, almost by chance, it was at last discovered in 1842 and published in 1843, the work was an instant success, proving extraordinarily effective in spreading the “true devotion” to the Most Holy Virgin.” “My motto; ‘Totus Tuus’ is inspired by the teaching of St. Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort. These two words express total belonging to Jesus through Mary: ‘Tuus totus ego sum, et omnia mea tua sunt,’ St Louis Marie wrote, and he translates his words: ‘I am all yours, and all that I have is yours, O most loving Jesus, through Mary, your most holy Mother’ (Treatise on True Devotion, n. 233). This Saint’s teaching has had a profound influence on the Marian devotion of many of the faithful and on my own life. It is a lived teaching of outstanding ascetic and mystical depth, expressed in a lively and passionate style that makes frequent use of images and symbols.” “All our perfection,” St. Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort writes, “consists in being conformed, united and consecrated to Jesus Christ; and therefore, the most perfect of all devotions is, without any doubt, that which most perfectly conforms, unites and consecrates us to Jesus Christ. Now, Mary being the most conformed of all creatures to Jesus Christ, it follows that, of all devotions, that which most consecrates and conforms the soul to Our Lord is devotion to his holy Mother, and that the more a soul is consecrated to Mary, the more it is consecrated to Jesus.” (Treatise on True Devotion, n. 120) “When we praise her, love her, honour her or give anything to her, it is God who is praised, God who is loved, God who is glorified, and it is to God that we give, through Mary and in Mary.” (Treatise on True Devotion, n. 225) Saint Louis-Marie Grignon De Montfort was a Catholic Priest and Missionary in Brittany and Vendee, France. He was born in Montfort-sur-Meu in 1673 and died in 1716. He was canonized by Pius XII in 1947. His feast day is on April 28th. He is considered one of the early proponents of the field of Mariology as it is known today, and a candidate to become a Doctor of the Church. PUBLISHER: CATHOLIC WAY PUBLISHING

These four weeks finish with five days centered on the particular spirit with which Mary lived out the gift of herself to God.
